  1. “Best services, highly recommended"
We, party of 4, stayed at this hotel for 3 nights (May 5,6, and 9). The staff, especially Mariela and Danny, were very professional and helpful. What impressed me the most was that Danny took the initiative to call our next hotel to make sure that we'd be picked up due to the schedule change. They also told us to keep their #'s handy just in case we needed help while traveling around Peru. Great job, Thanks.

  2. “Most Comfortable environment ever”

The staff and manager at Torre Dorada go the extra mile in every interaction with you and your family. They take care of you like a mother figure, if you are flying in, they'll have someone ready to pick you up and take you directly to the hotel, they'll take your bags to your room. If you are new to the altitude they teach you and take care of your altitude sickness including trips to the doctor and follow up on everything. They arrange free taxis to and from the hotel at any time. If you are doing the Machu Picchu hike, they'll hold onto your bags for free, and let you even leave it in the room and have it back in your new room when you come back, like it's your home. They provide clean water in bottles and will boil water to fill your bladders, free breakfast (a cook in the morning makes eggs for you also!) every morning. If you have trouble and need to go to the police station they'll send someone along to translate and make sure the police don't steal from you. If you are completely lost or in trouble anywhere in the city and are able to call them, they'll come right there and pick you up for free.

  3. “Incredible service, charming place, very clean room, quiet street”

We stayed at Torre Dorada for 2 nights (May 15th, 2010), read raved reviews about this place even though it's not in the center of town. Upon arrival, Luis greeted us and provided information regarding the service etc. This place felt like a sanctuary, it's very quiet, charming, nice decor, beautiful wooden staircase. Basically, it's a home away from home. Although the location was not in the center of town, but the 24/7 free transfer and pick up to/from town was very convenient. If u stay in center of town, it may be noisy, so if u want a good night sleep, i highly recommend Torre Dorada. When we came back from Machu Picchu, within 5 min, the hotel sent a driver to pick us up at 11:30pm, which was great. Transportation was very convenient. The room is super clean. The service was impeccable, for example; we thought breakfast was over at 10am, so we came down at 9:30am. breakfast already ended at 9am. But the lady still served us, even made us omelettes after she had stored everything away. we felt really bad but she insisted, even made us fresh squeezed orange juice. they left her a tip because we could see how genuine she was. not often u'll find people like this, especially not in the states where everything has TIP expectations written all over. that was very nice and we deeply appreciated as she insisted that we'd have a nice breakfast. We met Peggy and she was very nice. Overall, I strongly recommend staying at Torre Dorada. it was everything we expected and more.

  4. “Perfect Stay with Exceptional Hotel Staff and Room”

I wish that we could move to Cuzco and live in this hotel. The staff work extra hard to make sure all guests are 100% satisfied. The front desk staff even go out of their way to help solve problems and help guests the way friends would do. Peggy, the owner, is my new best friend because she gave us a restaurant recommendation that was so wonderful that I now have a new favorite restaurant on all of the South American continent. The rooms and hotel in general was very clean, the shower water pressure was strong and the hot water felt so good after a long day of fun. Breakfast was exceptionally good, complete with 2 kinds of jam made from Peruvian fruits. If you want to get to Machu Picchu, order your tour from the hotel because it's less expensive that other tours online, and the service is much better. The beds were very comfortable and the mattress stopped my backache after one night. Torre Dorada's staff gives better service than any hotel I have ever stayed at, bar none. Added plus: the hotel has two computers in case one of them is occupied. I just loved how they had a private car to take us wherever we wanted to go, with speedy service and safe drivers. I have never been so spoiled! And I LOVE being spoiled.
